I'm tired of the rain

Has it rained for 40 days and 40 nights yet? Since moving in, I don't think our basement has been dry for more than 1 week. The creature in the cellar (aka sump pump) has been working over drive this weekend. Clover has even needed to get to higher ground. When is the rain going to end? Luckily all our stuff has remained dry, except one or two of the cats may have wet paws.
